Free educational games for kids

Twenty real games that genuinely teach: counting and arithmetic, phonics and reading, science and logic. Plus the puzzle games that build thinking skills. All free, no ads, no download, no sign-up.

In short: Kiddo Games has 20 free educational games that teach early math, reading and phonics, science and logic. Each one adapts to your child and reads its prompts aloud, so a pre-reader can play. No ads, no download, no sign-up.

These are not worksheets dressed up as games. Each one takes a classic game (a fishing game, a fruit slicer, a balloon pop, a connect-the-dots) and builds a real skill into how you win, so your child has to use the skill to play. They get a little harder when your child is doing well and ease off after a slip, and every prompt is read aloud for pre-readers. Below they are grouped by subject.

Common questions

Do these games really teach my child?

Yes. They teach real skills: counting and arithmetic, place value, beginning sounds and phonics, sight words and spelling, life cycles and the solar system, patterns and shapes. The skill is built into how you win, so your child practices it just by playing, not by doing drills.

Do the games adapt to my child's level?

Yes. Every educational game gets a little harder after a streak of correct answers and eases off after a slip, so it stays challenging without being frustrating. Each one also has a gentle mode and a harder brave mode.

Can a child who cannot read yet play them?

Yes. Every educational game reads its prompt aloud and shows the goal with pictures, so a 4 to 6 year old can play on their own. The math and science games work well before reading.

Are they free and ad-free?

Yes. Every game is free with no ads, no in-app purchases and no sign-up, and runs in any browser on a phone, tablet, Chromebook or computer.

Are they good for the classroom or a quick brain break?

Yes. Each one loads instantly with nothing to install, so they work on a school Chromebook or tablet and for a short learning break at home.
